is sifting through details right now and live in london. what can you tell us is the latest? >> reporter: good morning, jon. police say they were called to the pistorius home after a shooting. when they arrived, they found paramedics trying to relive a woman. she died at the scene. we now know that woman was reeva steenkamp. she had been shot four times. in another twist to an already shocking story, police say there had been previous incidents of a domestic nature at the pistorius house. what's interesting is pistorius has previously spoken of keeping a 9 millimeter and other guns to protect himself from burglars. that's not rare in south africa with high rates of violent crime. there were reports that maybe pistorius had mistaken his girlfriend for an intruder but police don't ssay they don't kne that story has come from. it's likely we'll get more details on this shocking story when oscar pistorius appears in court in south africa tomorrow. jon? >> big-time shocker on that one. all right. thank you very much. keep us posted on what's happening and latest details coming into the newsro
